Jeremy Blomley R.I.P.

I have just been informed that our good friend Jeremy had a heart attack this afternoon and did not make it. This is just such sad, sad news.Only today I thought of him as I walked along our Art Department's corridor. Recalling the day we visited him at Umina many years ago, before he went to the States and he showed me a surfboard he had embellished with his most creative awesome artwork. I wanted to buy it there and then, but he insisted that it was obviously not finished yet...

Sad news about Jeremy. I only just heard.

I became acquainted with him when he was in California. When he told me he was going back to Oz, I advised him to remember that every life form in Oz is "out to getya". He assured me he'd stay clear of alligators, crocodiles, snakes and funnel web spiders. He wasn't counting on.... oysters!

Within weeks of returning, he slipped on some rocks and sliced his tendons on oysters in a crevice. It could only happen to JB!

Sadly missed, Jerry

I have been looking for a Jeremy Blomley for many years now. I knew a Jeremy who was an artist and, he was living in Vaucluse around the late 90s, just before moving to the States. I've been thinking and missing Jeremy and lost contact when he moved to the States. I'm wondering if this is 'the,' Jeremy Blomley I've been looking for. Sad, sad news. I'm so sorry my friend. Tony Kalolo.
