Holden vs Kawasaki

Today we took Joey's daughter up to the Pieshop. The pieshop now has a Visor Cleaning Station in the Disabled Toilets. How spoilt are we?!

It was a great day and I even enjoyed the trip down the Pass. About 8 of us went off to MaxPower in Bellambi Lane, my new mechanic.

The others decided to take a trip up to bald Hill via Bulli Pass, but I did not.

I wish I had gone up to Bald Hill today, but for a split second there I thought to myself...arrgh been up that Bulli Pass today, let's go home and give that bike a good clean before we hit Maxpower again tomorrow...
Remembering the one and only important thing to do today...the man had asked if I could pick up the paper somewhere today....sure! I'll pick up the paper for him, since he is painting the girl's room and gets into a bit of tiling while I'm leaving some rubber on the asphalt...

So I get to Thirroul and see a spot opposite the newsagency... but I have a feeling that I should park parallel to the kurb and in the no standing zone, leaving about two metre space behind that huge Holden, rather than sqeezing in behind him. Driver crosses the road as I cross to the other side. He looks straight at me. "Good" I remember thinking... "he knows the bike is there". I did not even bother to take my helmet off and am about to step into the newsagency when I hear this strange sound... I turn around and there it is...my bike!!!!!! On its side -on the asphalt!!!!! Nooooooo!!!! My baybeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

The guy in the 4wd Holden starts to drive fwd. I hear myself scream: Oiiiiiiii!!!!! Pointing at him, thinking"he's not going to take off, is he?!

No. He was a real gentleman. Right down to ringing me later to find out if there was anything he could help out with. I, on the other hand, was not so kind...I remember distinctly calling him a d!(%head and a bl@@dy idi@t, while he helped me picking up the bike, but he took it in his stride. First thing he said was "sorry". Decent guy.

Damaged

So, now it is at Daytona's, scarred, awaiting the assessor's judgement. Bron said that there was approximately $2500 damage. No, I do not want it written off, thanx!
When I rang Shannon's, my insurer, to give them the details, they did ask me if I would want to buy it off them if it gets written off. 'Of cause'! was my answer. 34km... true km on the clock... It's a rare find!

Another week of holidays and no bike.
I am not happy.
MaxPower is staging a BBQ for the Angel Flight charity tomorrow... Was going to be there... I'm the one driving a Toyotahhhh...
