INSURANCE...

So, I am with Shannon's, the other guy with NRMA. I'm ringing Shannon's to let them know what happened and where the bike is now. I am told that Shannon's will send out an Assessor and then they'll claim the money back from the NRMA. OK... whatever...as long as my bike gets fixed.

JUST REMEMBER THAT I AM INNOCENT HERE.

I AM THE VICTIM!!!!!

...and the victim I certainly am, but am I being compensated? NO! Not fully.

My bike is worth five and a half thousand dollars to me. I bought it, then added about a thousand dollars in upgrades. It is 11 years old, but has a brandnew paint job and extremely low milage for a bike that age. It was a lady's bike all of its life and there is nothing on the market that will float my boat as well as this one does.

The assessor announces himself for Monday and does not arrive...then again, for Saturday: same stunt. Finally gets there on Tuesday and tells Bron: No new Muffler. Polish the dent and scratch out.
No new bar-end. Brake lever? Paint over the scratch. No new mirror. Leave it scratched.
There is a dent on the engine cover. Nothing.

I FEEL RIPPED OFF!

The assessor claims that he could write it off, as he would sell it easily, as is for $4000. (It would make someone a fine track bike... Yeah sure! Stop rubbing your palms....no way! Not my baby!)

So much for being honest with insurance cover! I should have told them it was worth much more, as they insure agreed value...what's it worth to ME??????? What would it cost to get something of equal value?
